The ‘laundry watta’, or where washing of garments and linen take place is a wet and messy place to be at. The hardworking workers exert a lot of tedious physical effort to get the soiled linen clean and essentially abusing the fabric to the extent of it being fiercely dashed repeatedly on a concrete surface is intriguing to observe.
